Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?

I offer in-person sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in Union Square, and virtual sessions on Tuesdays.

How often do we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions. Depending on your needs, we may meet twice per week. Due to the nature of the way I work, I cannot accommodate bi-weekly or monthly slots.

Do you take insurance?

I’m in-network with Aetna. For all other insurance plans, I’m considered out-of-network. If your plan has out-of-network benefits, I can provide superbills for you to submit for reimbursement.

Do you offer sliding scale fees?

Yes, I reserve a limited number of sliding-scale spots for clients with financial need. I trust clients to pay what they can to honor the value of our work. Here’s a breakdown of the fee tiers/who they’re designed for:

Tier 1 – Full Fee: $250
You might qualify if you:

  • Have financial security, property, or higher-end rent

  • Have disposable income without sacrificing basic needs

  • Have out-of-network insurance benefits covering a large portion of the fee

  • Receive financial support from family or others

  • Can invest in therapy without long-term financial harm

Tier 2 – Moderate Fee: $150+
You might qualify if you:

  • Can meet basic needs but sometimes find it difficult

  • Can save a little and plan for the future

  • Have some out-of-network insurance benefits

  • Don’t receive financial support from others

Tier 3 – What You Can Afford
You might qualify if you:

  • Are unemployed or lack health insurance

  • Experience housing or food insecurity

  • Live paycheck to paycheck with no savings

  • Don’t receive financial support from others

Please note: As of Fall 2025, Tier 2 and Tier 3 spots are currently full.

What is your cancellation policy?

Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are billed at the full fee.

How do I get started?
